NIS4 PRESS RELEASE

RTV Noord-Holland selects the Evoxe NIS4 newsroom computer system.
Release date: April 2009

BACKGROUND AND CHALLENGE
Evoxe BV, the innovative supplier of the NIS4 family of newsroom computer systems, based in Reeuwijk, The Netherlands, has just been awarded the contract to supply the newsroom computer system for RTV Noord-Holland (RTV N-H).

RTV N-H is a regional public broadcaster, focussing on the provision of information and culture for the Dutch province of Noord-Holland. Its services include radio, television, website and teletext.

RTV N-H needed a new solution for their newsroom that could reliably meet current and future operational needs, including epg management and auto-mation, efficient repurposing of content across platforms and integration with third party production, edit and playout systems.

RTV N-H selected the Evoxe NIS4 system due to its excellent references in the Dutch public broadcast sector, its proven technology that facilitates an efficient newsroom workflow, and the fact that one interface can be used by everyone, from full newsroom functionality to mail and calendars.

THE EVOXE NIS4 NRCS SOLUTION
NIS4 is the newsroom computer system that has become the system of choice for the regional newsrooms in the Netherlands. It is successfully installed and operational in numerous sites including the newsrooms of the public regional broadcasters: RTV Noord, RTV Drenthe, Omroep Flevoland, Omroep Zeeland, RTV Rijnmond, Omroep Gelderland, RTV Utrecht and AT5.

RTV N-H will have 160 full newsroom users operating on the NIS4 nrcs, enabling them to efficiently create and re-purpose content for television, radio and other media (web cms export, teletext and text-tv). A total of 300 users will have access to Lotus Notes mail, web mail, calendaring and chat.

The NIS4-Guide functionality will enable RTV N-H to efficiently manage their programme output with automatic export of EPG information. As part of the implementation templates and exports will be customised to meet RTV N-H specific requirements.

NIS4 will integrate with an IMC-incite production and edit system, including exchange of video asset metadata through MOS. Integration will also be provided with a radio playout system, a teletext system, and a web site CMS.
